Wireless and Wired Emergency Call Systems That Make the Difference

In a critical situation, fast and accurate communication saves lives. The wired and wireless emergency call systems supplied by DWC Elektronik create a dependable, accessible and fast route to help for people with disabilities, visitors and staff alike.

Accessibility Is Not Just a Regulatory Clause

Accessible toilets, changing cubicles and patient bathrooms are the areas where people are most often alone and where the risk of a fall is highest. An emergency call button at these points is a genuine layer of safety, not merely a box to tick.

Wired or Wireless?

Wired systems run on fixed in-wall cabling, with no risk of a flat battery or a lost signal. They are the usual choice in new-build premises.

Wireless systems require no structural work and are commissioned the same day, which makes them ideal for existing buildings that remain in use.

What a Correct Installation Requires

  • The button must either be at a height reachable by someone who has fallen, or operated by a pull cord.
  • The alert must be both audible and visual, and must be impossible to miss from the staff position.
  • The call must only be resettable in the room, by the member of staff who attended.
  • The system must be tested regularly and the test records retained.
