High Precision at Critical Points
A point-based active tracking system is the right choice when location is needed at the level of a specific point rather than a zone. Readers placed at critical points — a doorway, a safe, a medicine cabinet, a server room or a machine station — report in real time which tags pass through or remain there.
System Architecture
- Active RF Tag: A battery-powered staff card or asset tag that transmits its own signal.
- Point Reader: A precise short-range reader that connects over a wired or wireless link.
- Central Software: The management interface that reports movements and raises rule-based alarms.
Rule-Based Alarms
If a particular tag appears at a particular point outside a defined time window, the system raises an alarm automatically. Unauthorised access stops being a passive log entry and becomes something the team can actually act on.
